I've been enjoying your Texana section. An interesting fact about the boxing match hosted by Judge Bean. The referee for the match was none other than Bat Masterson. http://www.countryworldnews.com/news/2007/12-December/122707trails.php

Stories have it that it was supposed to have taken place on a sandbar between Juarez and El Paso in the Rio just below what is now UTEP.

Even then do-gooders looking to protect our sensitivities.
