Mr. Pratt:
I enjoyed your show this evening while driving back from the rolling hills
around Albany, nice drive now, and beautiful drive once it turns green.
Your comments about the city council acting like children following their mother
around the store asking to buy me, buy me, buy me struck a chord with me. It
strikes me that some members of the city council never learned the difference
between want and need.
A person that doesn’t know that difference will follow the wind and have a new
“need” every few days. Someone who knows the difference will prioritize the
needs and take care of the priorities. This person will usually never have
the nicest of anything but what they do have will be well built well cared for
and will serve them for a long time, and you will never find these people
playing “keeping up with the Joneses”.
Do we want a new animal shelter? Yes, but we probably don’t need a new one.
Dow we want a new visitors center? Yes, but that doesn’t mean we need it.
Do we want new soccer Fields? Yes, but we probably need to take care of the
Huffman complex first.
Just another Texas two cents worth.
Thanks,
John M
