OK…..Robert,
You were right in the stern warning that we listeners received as to the possible rights violations that has occurred in El Dorado recently.
I read with alarm the comments made by San Angelo Standard-Times writer Rick Smith in his fairly well written article in Saturday's paper. Regarding "Sarah", the 16 Y.O. caller that is the whole basis of the original search warrant, he says: "Whether she's a scared 16-year-old girl who had the courage to speak up or simply a symbol created by an anonymous caller, Sarah's cry for help may help others."
Either way, CREATED or REAL, her cry will help others while our rights are
being…well…….trampled seems so trite under the circumstances, but please tell
me, where do you draw the line??

Pratt responds:
The law already draws the line. Any person accused has the right to confront his accuser. No accuser (or clear victim)? Generally no prosecution. Additionally, rights are individual. You are not guilty of something because your neighbor, or fellow church member, is thought to be guilty and yet that is what happening with the FLDS folk. After all of this goes through process, it will be terribly difficult to get a conviction of anyone for anything. I've not time to discuss this in-depth herein but all I've said to date has been demonstrated to be right.
