They want to raise the contribution from LP&L to keep us from having a tax increase? Who is telling this big lie? They have already given me an 11.4% actual increase in my taxes and most other taxpayers have gotten raises in their taxes in the 5% to 10% range. And this is not to mention all the new construction property added to the tax rolls. This the biggest rip-off that has ever been perpetrated on Lubbock tax payers.
These people have no shame and apparantly there is no end to the amount of tax money that they want to take from the Lubbock taxpayers. We need a Lake Allen Henry Tea Party to end this rip-off to the taxpayers.

You left off the fact that sales tax receipts were higher yet again over the last year and are still trending higher than the previous year. The city is enjoying significantly more money already, without a direct tax increase.
