Pratt,

Did you happen to catch any of the sound from this morning's interview with Jerry Bell?

Sounded to me like he was reading right out of the Miller playbook.

He referred to the Civic Center as an outdated, worn out community center. When I asked him who he would back as Mayor, he replied that "I can work with either one of those two fine gentlemen". That was not the question. He went to great lengths to dodge the question, and seemed to want to go to great lengths to distance himself from the "Country Club crowd" that has been rumored to be backing his run. Chad even prodded him to answer the real question, but he skated.

I hope people can wake up and see through the smoke and mirrors, and find out who is really taking them to the dance....

Pratt responds:

He said much the same in the debate Wednesday night. Mentioned the Civic Center being run down (he's definitely in the Ashamed of Lubbock crowd) and used the "partner" phrase a bunch. Phyllis Jones actually said on camera that she is not "endorsing anyone" but admits to having given Bell money! Her folks are behind Bell.
