Mr. Pratt,
When I was three years old my father moved our family to Lubbock. He told us that Lubbock was a great city and that the people were as nice as they come. And for thirty-four years of my life that was true.
Five years ago Lubbock had a fine mayor from an even better family whose actions the city benefits from today. Yet that man and his family were smeared and as a result withdrew from city business altogether.
Now Lubbock has a mayor who participates in the kind of activity that drove away the McDougals. How dare he attack anyone who doesn't agree with him and his cronies? If this city re-elects this man mayor Lubbock will not only lose all the things the McDougals did which we are benefiting from today, but we will have a mess that future mayors and councils will be forced to clean up before we can actually move forward.
From your fellow cave person,
Terry H.
