From the beginning of the race for Lubbock mayor, legally qualified candidates Roger Settler and Gilbert Montes have been excluded by numerous broadcast outlets and the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce (not KFYO however which did include them) from debates and forums.
However, based upon a report in El Editor today, in a story with Martin and Miller's responses to questions, Pratt on Texas calls an official end to any sympathy for Messrs. Settler and Montes. The whining time is over as El Editor reports:
"In the case of the other two candidates running for Mayor, Gilbert Montes and Roger Settler; we also sent a separate set of questions to each one. We asked that each candidate meet a deadline for replying but did not hear back from either one of those candidates by the deadline."
