Just a few comments on the David Miller advertisement concerning a city employee
setting a gun on a table during a job review. This may have been already hashed
out by listeners and callers while I was working but wanted to pitch my two
cents in also.
This is the exact type of advertisement that has turned the American public off
of politics. The ad is too close to the election and in this case during early
voting, for the average person to conduct their own research to corroborate or
refute the allegations. The ad is very short on details that would allow the
average person to even try to find anything out if their was time until election
day, granted names etc would probably open up the possibility for libel and
slander suits.
The last point is that for someone who claims to be a Christian, this is a very
unchristian way to conduct a campaign in my opinion.
I know this is only going to be read by the choir but I wanted to get it off my
mind.
Thanks,
John M.
