A bronze sculpture by artist, and Pratt on Texas listener, Eddie Dixon was unveiled today at Mae Simmons Park overlooking East 19th Street and Canyon Lake Drive. Civic Lubbock has designated the sculpture to be its Centennial Project. The bronze is a young Native American Woman representing the many Native American people of the early South Plains.

Kyle Pettit, yes he is the son of Burle Pettit, sculpted much of the jewelry-type items.
