Pratt,
Is Perry campaign shooting themselves in the foot over reaction to KBH resigning office to run?
Just heard on the 5PM news that KBH had told WBAP that she would resign in the fall to run for Governor.
The Perry campaign's immediate response was to slam her for the intent to
resign to run as a "broken promise"
Considering the flap over Sarah Palin's resignation and her seeming intent to
come campaign for conservatives such as Perry, doesn't this send the exact wrong
message?
This kind of reaction:
1. Does nothing but lend credence to Palin's detractors, and
2. Severely weakens any benefit that might be gained by Palin campaigning for
Perry having a double standard for KBH.
I would think any rational campaign would se KBH's potential resignation as killing two birds with one stone by getting her out of the Senate as well as defeating her for Governor and sending her home to retire.
Just a thought,
Allen
Pratt responds:
I agree. Perry's group should point out that she promised to finish her term, but not in this manner.
