Good Morning Pratt,
First, I want to know something. When did Obama and his gang move to Lubbock? I
heard the mayor state this morning on LFN that the votes have been taken and
it's "a done deal..." That sounds exactly like what is happening with issues in
Washington. It breaks my heart to think that Martin, Bean, Leonard and anyone
else who claim to be conservative have fallen into the abyss of literally making
decisions without input from the people who have hired these people to work for
them. This is incredible!
Second, I lived in the Bryan/College Station area for 15 years back in the
1970's and 80's. We only had one electric company there, and their rates were
sky high. It was not unusual for our electric bill for one month (during the
summer) to be $800...I realize we didn't have all the energy efficiency we now
have, but what about all the local residents who do not have energy efficient
homes? Could they be facing $800/month bills? I think it is a real possibility.
People need to brace themselves and start saving money now to be able to pay
their electric bills in the future.
Also, prepare for an all out shoot out when it's time for the next elections.
It's time to kick out anyone who would pull such shenanigans without consulting
the people they serve. I guess that means the entire council needs to be
replaced!
