Where's the $6 million allocated for a Lubbock visitor center?

Pratt,

Whatever happen to that six million dollars allocated for a visitors center? Oh I remember now, it was put aside to pay for the relocation of the Buddy Holly statue to the new Buddy & Maria Elena Holly Diaz Martinez Garcia Johnson Jones exploitation park extravaganza located in beautiful downtown Lubbock near the Depot Entertainment District.

As I recall Council person Paul R. Beane negotiated this monstrosity and may have inadvertently promised the fine citizens and well rounded music lovers, and let's not forget the square dancers & banjo pluckers, that this beautiful addition to the city park department or perhaps a private trash removal contract endeavor would be gracing our presence in the very near future.

I hope Mr. Beane meant in his life time! I'm tired of looking at the depot swamp that's not fit to hold a mud bug catching contest.

Yours truly,
A concerned & certainly tongue firmly planted in cheek,
David

Pratt responds:

I don't know about the money but personally I'm glad to see the park there instead of a useless visitor center.
