Hello Robert:
I wanted to let you know that I went down to
LSG this morning to
register
for the Taurus Judge. The place was pretty crowded when I walked in but, I
just wanted to check this place out. The people that worked there were all super
nice and helpful. This was kind of a test.
I soon found myself working with Steve Burns. I told him straight up that I had
3 objectives on my visit today. First - I wanted some help in figuring out what
kind of semi-automatic pistol would work for me. I know a little about rifles
and shot guns but not much about pistols. I needed some special help because I
have a large palm with small crooked fingers (football injures) and have not
been very comfortable with some pistols that I have shot because they just did
not fit well. Steve really took his time and we went through all of the brands
of pistols that he had in the 9 mm and 40 caliber. Showing me the different
features of each along with models that could use an extra long clip that would
help me to have the best grip on the pistol. We narrowed it down to the
Springfield XD 40 or the FN 9mm FNP. I even took pictures of these so I can
print them out and place the pictures on my visionary board so when I am ready
to achieve one of my 2010 goals of obtaining my CHL I will be ready to pick one
of these up (do you have any opinion?). Second I picked up some 38's for the
Taurus revolver that I have inherited and some 22 LR for my little Remington 22
pump that I enjoy having fun with (once shot a duck 75 - 100 yard on a stock
tank). And then Third - I registered for your Christmas giveaway! That is a
really cool pistol! I did not know that you could shoot a 410 cartridge in a
pistol - dang I wish I had one of these for all the rattlesnakes I have come up
on in my youth!
Now the rest of the story - we had to go to [big-box sporting goods store] to pick up a couple of other
gifts. I went over to the gun section to do some comparison window shopping.
Well, from what I could tell after elbowing my way up to the counter - the ammo
that I bought at LSG was probably less expensive and though [big-box] might have
had some pistols that I might have wanted to look at - I would still have been
waiting in line now trying to get some help. I really don't think that someone
would have taken their time and probably would have not had the knowledge that
Steve had in going over the features that are important in making a decision on
something that - truly I might be carrying the rest of my life, might have to
use to protect myself or others and use for enjoyment. This is a pretty big deal
for me and a "big box" retailer just doesn't have the service or the knowledge
for what I am needing and looks like to me that LSG is very competitive on
price.
Thank you Robert for working with LSG and getting the word out about them.
Thanks and God Bless the USA!
Mika
Pratt responds:
Thanks. That's why Pratt on Texas instructors have been sending students to LSG Tactical Arms for years and why they were the only store in Lubbock offered the chance to be the Official Pratt on Texas 2nd Amendment & Anti-Wimp Headquarters. We take the carrying of firearms extremely seriously - it can be life or death.
