Politics the Art of Compromise

Politicians that have been in office for a long time love to tout their ability to “reach a compromise”. What they really mean is they are willing to give away something that isn’t theirs to give in order to get something they want to give to someone else. The “someone” else is usually a donor that has contributed significantly to said compromiser’s campaign.

Over the years we have gradually had our liberty, freedom and our property rights compromised. From City Hall, to State Capitols to Washington we have seen the things we hold dearest slip from our hand, all under the guise of fairness through compromise.

I for one am tired of playing nice. Our backs are to the wall and the “El Deguello” has been trumpeted. We must stand and be counted or be held in scorn by future generations of Texans. If Texas falls and comes under control of the far left liberal wing of our government, then who will be left to fight for freedom and liberty?

The Communist Party quit running candidates for office when they realized that they could reach all of their goals through the “progressive movement”. The American people would not vote for communism, but will vote for liberalism-progressivism because it seems “fair”.

What seems fair isn’t always right. The only rights that are guaranteed to me is “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.” Tell me how you will vote, vote that way or move out.
